2Welcome to the 2016 Get Movin’ Challenge-New Dates April 20th-May 18th.

 

After filling out your log sheet, hit print and change the destination to save as a pdf to your computer. Then attach it to an email.  That should save anyone from having issues with the form.

Get Movin’ sponsored by the LCIC Wellness Program will take place over four weeks from April 20th-May 18th.  Each team (a team will consist of 2 people) will be responsible for recording their daily steps in the electronic form.  The goal is for each participant on their team to average 10,000 steps daily per week.  The team will then record their weekly step totals for each person and send to Carmen Terry, Health and Wellness Coordinator by Wednesday of the next week by 4pm.  (See weekly log sheets)

You can keep track of your step totals using one of the two methods:

  1. Pedometer or Personal Activity Tracker such as a fitbit, jawbone,  etc.
  2. We will purchase a Misfit flashlink activity tracker for the first 400 people registered that need one.  This must be indicated on the registration form for your team.  Once the order has been placed, we cannot change the order.  If you already own a personal activity tracker please do not request one.

Each district/Penn College will have a first place team which will receive a $100 gift card to their choice of the following (Dick’s sporting goods, Elite Feet, Bike shop of your choice or YMCA/gym of their choice)

For each employee that averages 10,000 steps per day during each week, their name will go into a raffle within each district/Penn College for a $25 gift card.  There will be 8 winners per district.  (Names will be pulled after 1st place winners are named.)  For each week that you average your daily step count, your name will go into the drawing- so if you average 10,000 steps per day for all four weeks, you will have 4 entries into the raffle.

The district/college with the most percentage of participants will have a raffle for another $100 gift card, so encourage your coworkers to participate.

*If you receive a Misfit flashlink activity tracker and do not participate according to the guidelines you will be asked to return it to Carmen.

Winners may be asked to provide proof of their weekly steps from their tracker.  

If you participate and turn in your weekly logs on time, you can count 40 points towards the BeHIP program
